The fourth and last leg of the Lab for All caravan in Ilocos Region was concluded today at the La Union Convention Center in Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union where around twelve (12) government agencies converged to provide free services and goods to more than 3,000 participants.

La Union residents who trooped to the event venue availed of free medical services such as laboratory tests, including complete blood count (CBC), fasting blood sugar (FBS), electrocardiogram (ECG), x-ray, eye check-up, and complementary medicines, among others.

The program brought together various government agencies like the Department of Agriculture that distributed free vegetable seeds, agricultural production technology reading materials, vegetables, and other agricultural goods including fresh milk and nutri buns from the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).

The Lab for All program is an initiative of First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos who personally attended all the provincial caravan leg in the region to advocate for a Healthy Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas (A Healthy Philippines, Every Life is Precious towards a New Philippines).

The government sector partners who joined the caravan include the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Health (DOH), TESDA, National Housing Authority (NHA), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes (PCSO), Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and Philhealth.
