Some 40 Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) employees joined the ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—”๐—ฑ๐˜ƒ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜† ๐—”๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ-๐—ฉ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐—”๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ป (๐—ฉ๐—”๐—ช๐—–) on November 26, 2024, at the OPAg Conference Room, City of San Fernando, La Union.

As part of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), the Gender and Development (GAD) office of the DA-RFO1 invited various GAD experts who discussed different topics relevant to the campaign, enhancing employee knowledge and awareness on VAWC.

Resource speaker Mariz Dafnae H. Mendoza, Senior Economic Development Specialist of NEDA-RO1, discussed topics such as the Safe Spaces Act, sexual orientation, gender identity expression, and anti-discrimination. Charisma M. Agbayani, Attorney IV of CSC-RO1, tackled sexual harassment and a seminar on the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI). Lastly, Ms. Joan E. Casildo, Population Program Worker of the CPD-RO1, lectured on responsible parenthood and family planning.

The activity is in part of the PCW 5-year recurring campaign (2022-2027) with the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines.”
