Gender and Development (GAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) hosted the Regional Awarding of the 2024 Search for Outstanding Rural Women on October 9, 2024 at the J&V Hotel and Resort. The event was attended by more than 70 representatives from local government units (LGUs), women farmers organization and agri-preneurs across region one.

After careful validation by the Regional Search Committee for Outstanding Rural Women, three women came out victorious and were awarded accordingly for the year 2024. The winners are as follows:

๐Ÿญ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ฅ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—จ๐—ฝ – Lea Casilla of Rosario, La Union

๐Ÿฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฅ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—จ๐—ฝ – Eleanorgay C. Cabusaso of Bani, Pangasinan

Each winner received a plaque, a certificate of recognition, and cash prizes of P50,000, P30,000, and P20,000, respectively.

Veberly Uyaan, the Regional Winner, will represent Region One in the national search for Outstanding Rural Women 2024.
