Region I Advocates for Gender Equality (RAGE-I) hosts the 2023 Women’s Month Celebration culminating activity at the DA – RFO1 5th floor Conference room today, March 30. Joining the activity were GAD advocates from different government agencies in Region 1.

As part of the culminating activity, welcome remarks were delivered by DA – RFO1 Regional Executive Director and RAGE – 1 Vice President, Dr. Annie Q. Bares, followed by a message from the Keynote Speaker, DILG RO1’s Regional Director Agnes A. de Leon.

Dir. De Leon discussed what makes a woman strong and her experiences as a female leader in the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 1.

“For me, a simple woman is a strong woman. What makes a woman strong? A strong woman is straightforward, independent, mindful, pleasing, lustrous, and excellent.” said De Leon.

Meanwhile, Administrative and Finance Division Chief of DA – RFO1, Dr. Jacinta Marisa D. Olalan, also discussed and shared the laws protecting women.
