President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the turnover ceremony for DA interventions worth Php105 million for Ilocos Norte farmers at Mariano Marcos State University in Batac City.
The event was part of his scheduled activities in commemoration of the 107th birth celebration of his father, the late President Marcos Sr.
โLayunin ng mga kagamitan at mga input na ito na mas maging mataas ang inyong produksyon at matulungan na makabangon tayo mula sa epekto ng mga nagdaang kalamidad,โ said President Marcos in his speech.
(The purpose of this equipment and these inputs is to increase your production and help us recover from the impact of past calamities.)
Ilocos Norte farmers received seeds, fertilizers, tractors, fishery paraphernalia, fuel subsidies, and solar-powered irrigation systems, among other items.
โAng mga tulong na ito ay bahagi lamang ng mas malaking hangarin natin para sa lahat na isang pagkilala sa sipag at sakripisyo na binubuhos ninyo sa Ilocos at para sa buong bansa,โ he added.
(This support is just part of our greater desire for everyone, in recognition of the hard work and sacrifices you contribute to Ilocos and the entire country.)
President Marcos was joined in the ceremonial distribution by DA-RFO1 OIC-Regional Executive Director John B. Pascual, RTD for Operations Dennis I. Tactac, OIC-RTD for Research and Regulatory Florentino A. Adame, including Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division Chief Ms. Doris Joy C. Garcia and other DA officials.
