More than Php307 million worth of various presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families was awarded by DA, DAR, DTI, DSWD, DOLE, and TESDA, among others, led by His Excellency President Ferdinand ‘Bong-bong’ Marcos, Jr. in an awarding ceremonies held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center in Lingayen, Pangasinan on July 19, 2024.

Out of the over Php307 million worth of government interventions, the Department of Agriculture in Ilocos shared a total of Php209,083,557.04 from its 6 major programs on rice, corn, high value crops, and organic agriculture together with its special projects on NUPAP, SAAD and 4K program.

Among the various interventions provided include hybrid rice seeds, fertilizer vouchers and fuel subsidies as well as farm machineries amd equipment such as tractors, recirculating dryers, hauling trucks, combine harvesters, multi purpose cultivator, shredder, pump and engine sets as well as the onion cold storage facility.

The distribution and awarding ceremonies was attended by aroung 5,000 participants from the four provinces of Ilocos Region.
