Using a blended face to face and virtual platform, the National Convergence Initiative for Sustainable Rural Development (NCI SRD) spearheaded a training workshop on project proposal packaging for agriculture, forestry, and fisheries – enterprise cluster and business development (AFFECBD) component working group (CWG), regional, provincial, and municipal convergence initiative technical working groups.
The said workshop was held to capacitate participants in drafting project proposals in agro-enterprises at the same time serve as preliminary training on packaging proposals which are subject to fund sourcing.
To ensure that the training objectives are met, two resource persons shared their expertise and explained the topics on project identification and formulation, and business model canvas while the NCI-SRD secretariat facilitated the activity.
Present at the venue, Undersecretary for Special Concerns Waldo Carpio mentioned the importance of the workshop. “The AFF enterprise workshop on project proposal packaging is our streamwork towards the development of comprehensive project proposals. The objective of this workshop is to come up with an outline that will assist proponents to be more familiar with proposals and how to make them shovel-ready. It’s important that we recognize the requirements in guiding our beneficiaries every step of the way”.
Meanwhile, OCI-RED Nestor Domenden in his virtual message told the participants to learn from each other and think of viable projects that would create, businesses, enterprises, investments that would benefit the entire agriculture sector as it was the meat of government service.
