Members of the National Technical Committee for the DA Search for Outstanding Rural Women led by Mr. Eugene Fuente representing Dir. Annray Villota Rivera of the Gender and Development/Gender Equality Social Inclusion (GAD/GESI) of DA made a courtesy call to La Union Governor Rafy Ortega-David at the La Union Provincial Capitol today relative to the scheduled 2-day field validation of Region I’s nominee, Ms. Evelyn Banan, from the municipality of Caba who is a finalist in the national search for Outstanding Rural Women.
Joining the team is Region I’s GAD Search Committee Chairman, Ms. Christine de Leon who shall be assisting the national evaluators in their field validation of the nominee, together with the regional secretariat.
The Search for Outstanding Rural Women is an annual activity of the DA under its GAD/GESI Unit to recognize empowered women in agriculture with remarkable contributions in the advancement of the agri-fishery sector in the rural areas.
