RAFC Chair Benjamin Campañano of Burgos, Ilocos Norte assumed the post as Farmer-Director today as part of the farmers and fisherfolk month-long celebration this May.

In a simple ceremony, DA-RFO1 Regional Executive Director Annie Q. Bares handed over the key of responsibility to Campañano who was appointed the second time for this role.

Campañano will assume the roles and tasks of the DA-RFO1 director, however his powers is limited only to non-policy determining activities which should not affect the government accounting rules and procedures as well as civil service rules and regulations governing regular government employees.

RED Annie Bares enjoined the support of the entire DA-RFO I workforce for the Farmer-Director to help him be effective in his given role as DA leader for the month of May.
