Thousands of farmers from the 2nd district of Ilocos Norte benefitted from various interventions of the Department of Agriculture on February 3, 2023.

Under the RCEF-RFFA program, a total of 2135 rice farmers from Currimao and San Nicolas received a cash grant amounting to 5,000, while 535 individuals from the municipalities of Batac City, Dingras, Nueva Era, Paoay, and Solsona and 3927 from Dingras received fuel subsidy and fertilizer discount voucher, respectively.

Agricultural machinery, equipment and inputs were likewise awarded to farmers’ associations, and individuals under the DA’s regular programs and the Balik Probinsya Bagong Pag-asa program.

Pump and engine set, power sprayer, hand tractor, animal zoological Forage chopper, egg incubator, botanical pesticides, nesting baskets, seedling tray, garden shovel and rake, trowel, sprinklers and crates are among the aggie supports distributed.

Present at the event was 2nd district representative hon. Angelo Marcos Barba who assured the recipients of his continuous support to the agri-fishery sector.
