The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) yet again extends agricultural interventions to around 55 farmer coops, associations, and clusters, 11 Local Government Units (LGUs) in the 3rd and 4th Congressional District of Pangasinan at the Department of Agriculture – Pangasinan Research and Extension Center (DA-PREC), Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, on May 24, 2023 in the event: Distribution of Various Interventions for the CY 2024.

As of May 2024, a grand total of Php 126,189,271.00 was allocated to District 3 of Pangasinan consisting of agricultural subsidies such as hybrid rice seeds, yellow corn seeds, fertilizers, plastic crates and plastic drums as well as equipment such as the pump and engine sets and hand tractor across various banner programs such as the Rice, Corn, High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), and National Urban and Peri-Urban Program (NUPAP). The next target interventions included the solar water irrigation to be allotted to farmer coops in response to the current El NiΓ±o and preparation for future similar events. Beneficiaries came from the six DA-LGUs namely, San Carlos City, Bayambang, Malasiqui, Calasiao, Mapandan, and Sta. Barbara.

For the 4th District, a grand total of Php 54,895,086.00 worth of interventions was distributed to its five DA-LGUs including Mangaldan, Manaoag, San Fabian, San Jacinto, and Dagupan City. The grand total interventions are divided as follows: Php 39,459,760.00 for the Rice Banner Program; 11,951,250.00 for the Corn Banner Program; Php 2,887,846.00 for the HVCDP; Php 256,030.00 for the NUPAP; and, Php 340,200.00 for the Fuel Assistance to Farmers Project.

The DA-RFO1 is continuously driven to improve interventions for the betterment of our farmer partners in the region, and in this case, the Pangasinan province. As the convenes farmer partners and leaders chanted, β€œπ‘·π’‚π’π’ˆπ’‚π’”π’Šπ’π’‚π’, 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒐!”
