Former Department of Agriculture – Cordillera Administrative Region’s Regional Technical Director of Research and Regulations, Atty. Jennilyn M. Dawayan, named as the new OIC-Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1, per Special Order No. 537 series of 2022 dated August 1, 2022.
Dawayan, 45 years old, is a CPA Lawyer by profession, currently holding a position of Director III, and a Career Executive Service Officer with a rank of CESO IV.
From 1998 to 2010, she rose from the ranks from Accountant I, then promoted to Accountant II. After her stints of occupying Accountant positions, she headed the Finance department and became the OIC – Finance Officer. After which, she then became the Finance Manager at John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) from 2010 to 2011. She rejoined the Department of Agriculture as Regional Technical Director at DA Region III – Central Luzon from 2011 to 2018, then transferred to the DA Regional Field Office – Cordillera Administrative Region as Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations, and Integrated Laboratory from 2019 to 2022, until she is given the chance and opportunity to head DA-RFO 1 as OIC – Regional Executive Director.
Atty. Dawayan was welcomed by the DA-RFO1 employees during the flag ceremony held at the DA Regional Field Office 1, San Fernando City, La Union on August 8, 2022.
She assured that as the new OIC-RED, she will be participative and encouraged everyone to help in any matter that concerns their functions. She also emphasized that there’s always a win-win solution for everyone.
She also tackled accountability where each must be accountable no matter what functions they have, responsiveness – saying that it is something that she will look forward to and learn much from everyone, promoting transparency, abiding by the law, and lastly, equity and inclusiveness in order to build a better organization.
“So I extend my hand to each one of you so that we can work conscientiously and peacefully, and let us channel our energies to something that is more relevant in our work.” She ended her message by reminding the employees to always work towards a win-win solution and also aim in becoming number one in performance.
