The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) through its Gender and Development (GAD) office headed by GAD Focal person Ms. Edilyn C. Goldara, held a workshop focusing on technical writing and Microsoft Excel in the activity: Empowering DA-GAD Planners and Implementers thru Integrated Training on Technical Writing and Advanced Microsoft Excel Usage at the DA-RFO1 5th Floor Conference Room on May 21-22, 2024.

Day 1: Resource Speaker Mr. Jeff M. Opeña, Program Chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture-Horticulture in Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – North La Union Campus (DMMMSU-NLUC), enthusiastically discussed topics such as skills in writing technical reports and collaborative writing and editing schools, in which GAD planners urged an improvement in the office’s collaboration and processing of letters. Taking into account the rapid advancement of technology, attendees expressed their desire for more trainings and workshops for the innovation of systems and processing by adapting the use of recent technologies and artificial intelligence.

Day 2: Resource Speaker, Dr. Arnold C. Licayan of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU – MLUC) focused on advanced Microsoft Excel Features, elaborating on functions and formulas useful for daily office use as well as organizational improvement of data management.

The 2-day event ended with proposals and promises of technological advancement for the organization’s data management and office collaboration.
