DA-RFO1 employees placed first and runners-up in four out of seven events during the three-month-long sports festival organized by the Association for Regional Executive Directors Uno (AREX1).

In the women’s chess competition, Ms. Aprilyn Pagaduan secured first place.

Mr. Mcjim Cariño earned first runner-up in the men’s badminton singles and landed second for doubles alongside Mr. Ric Francis Reyno.

For the badminton women’s category, Ms. Jaefanie Estillore took the second runner-up for the singles. Meanwhile, partners Ms. Katherin Matro and Ms. Raquel Bumadilla earned the second runner-up spot for the doubles event.

In bowling, DA-RFO1 placed first runner-up overall. Mr. Oscar Padua was recognized for the highest single score with 125 points, together with Mr. Santos Flores for the highest double score with 234 points.

For the Mobile Legends competition, DA-RFO1’s team placed as first runner-up in the women’s category. The team included Ms. Princess Bautista, Ms. Rachelle Ducusin, Ms. Renella Acosta, Ms. Yulica Esperanza, Ms. Marneli Orpia, Ms. Dimple Parbo, and Ms. Alona Marie Tiangson.

The sportsfest, which started in October and concluded in December last year, culminated in an awards ceremony held on January 28, 2025, at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources 1 (DENR1) Training Center.

AREX Uno, a non-government organization in the Ilocos Region, is led by the executive directors of various government agencies, government hospitals, and state universities and colleges. Currently, the association has 29 participating government offices.

The AREX Uno was established to provide government employees a platform where they can nurture meaningful partnerships, strengthen professional networks, and promote camaraderie within the public service sector.
