Forty-two Farmer Cooperative Associations (FCA’s), farmer groups, and schools under the Gulayan Sa Paaralan program, and nine LGUs benefitted from the Distribution of the Department of Agriculture Interventions for the 5th District of Pangasinan held at the Department of Agrictlture – Pangasinan Research and Extension Center (DA – PREC) Sta. Barbara, on June 11, 2024.

The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) extended its reach to farmers and farmer associations alike through its Banner Programs garnering a total of Php 138,504,417.00. The allotment of funds are as follows:

Php 116,829,760.00 for the Rice Banner Program

Php 19,832,625.00 for the Corn Banner Program

Php 886,620.00 for the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP)

Php 324,010.00 for the National Urban and Peri-Urban Program (NUPAP)

Php 298,948.00 for the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD)

Php 289,800.00 for the Fuel Assistance to Farmers Project

Php 40,654.00 for the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo Program (4K)

With the distibution closing with success, the satisfaction of farmer beneficiaries can be heard as they repeated, “Distrito Singko, ang galing!”
