The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 held today a meeting with the Technical Working Group (RTWG) of the Rice Program for projects to level off before implementing this year.
This is to establish project complementation, strengthen equity in intervention allocation, and avoid program duplication among agencies involved in the RTWG.
The RTWG is spearheaded by DA-RFO1 with members namely, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Irrigation Administration, Philippine Rice Research Institute, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, Agricultural Training Institute, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Land Bank of the Philippines, Development Bank of the Philippines, Bureau of Plant Industry – NSQCS, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, National Food Authority, and Provincial Local Government Units as counterparts in program implementation.
