The Department of Agriculture National Technical Committee (DA-NTC), led by Vice Chairman Pamela Mappala, conducted a site validation at G’s Duckery and Integrated Farm on March 31, 2025. During the visit, they interviewed Geneva S. Ganalon, the farm’s owner and a nominee for the Gawad Saka award under the Outstanding Young Farmer/Fisherfolk – Individual Category at the national level.
G’s Duckery and Integrated Farm specializes in processing ducks, producing products such as Duck Binagoongan and Duck Kropek. These products have gained nationwide distribution through various partners across the country. The farm continues to grow, constantly adding new products while also providing job opportunities and fostering innovation within the community.
In addition to her entrepreneurial success, Geneva is an active member of the “Head, Heart, Hands, and Health” (4H) Club. Through this platform, she empowers fellow youth and women in her community by offering mentorship, supporting their growth, and collaborating to create additional products, including the cucumansi, banana bread, and duck pie.
With strong support from the Bacnotan Local Government Unit, Geneva has become well-known for her dedication to agriculture, passion for community development, and commitment to inspiring other young people. Her love for farming has fueled her mission to encourage the youth in her community to explore the vast potential of agriculture and contribute to its growth.
