A total of P2.435 million worth of interventions under the different banner programs of the DA were given to 16 farmers’ associations from the municipalities of Aringay, Bangar, Bagulin, Bauang, Caba, Pugo and San Gabriel, and the City of San Ferando in La Union, and from Alilem, Ilocos Sur.
Mr. Romy Layugan from the Mamleng Tiger Grass Producers Association of San Gabriel, expressed his gratitude after receiving a vegetable seeder, multipurpose cultivator, and power sprayer from the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4Ks) Program.
“Makakatulong sa pag-angat naming mga magsasaka itong natanggap namin lalo na kaming nasa upland at malalayo. Sana mas marami pang matulungang magsasaka ang DA,” Layugan said.
[“These will greatly help in our production especially for us living in the uplands and far-flung areas. I hope more farmers will benefit from these interventions.”]
