To ensure that agency programs and projects are consistent and supportive of the regional thrusts and priorities, and that these complement with LGU programs and projects, the Regional Development Council (RDC) 1 conducted the CY 2020 First Regular Economic Development Sectoral Committee Meeting (EDSECOM) cum Regional Budget Review and Consultation on February 12, 2020.

Attended by 40 member-agencies as well as private and non-government institutions, eight (8) of these member-agencies that belong to the Economic Sector presented their budget proposal for priority programs and projects including the Department of Agriculture (DA), Bureau of Fisheries and Agriculture Resources (BFAR), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and National Tobacco Administration (NTA).

The meeting was presided by Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 Regional Executive Director, Dir. Lucrecio R. Alviar, Jr., currently the committee’s chair on Economic Sector.
