
Twenty-five (25) participants of the Young Farmers Challenge Program (YFCP) gathered for the final day of the AgriNegoSkwela Training on February 24, 2025, at the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 1 (DA-RFO 1) Conference Room.
The training was conducted under the coordination of Ms. Jhanine Agdeppa, Ms. Ajurina Libed-Oticao, and Mr. Harley Andres, YFC coordinators for La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Pangasinan, respectively. It was spearheaded by Ms. Rhoda Galban, Officer-in-Charge of the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD).
AgriNegoSkwela aims to equip young agri-preneurs with essential business skills to help them grow and sustain their agribusinesses. The training emphasized the power of social media and digital tools in marketing agricultural products.
On February 24, 2025, participants attended sessions on Social Media Marketing, led by Mr. John Kirby G. Savellano and topic on Video Editing for Business was also discussed by Ms. Gerylle Vanmarie T. Palabay
For Day 2 on February 25, 2025, Ms. Corazon G. Valdez, MS III MDS discussed “How to Effectively Participate in Trade Fairs,” guiding the young entrepreneurs on maximizing market exposure.
At the end of the training, the young agri-preneurs officially graduated, committing to apply their learnings in improving and expanding their businesses. This initiative is part of DA-RFO 1’s continuous efforts to support agri-MSMEs and promote food security across the region.
