Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) held a training for Agriculture Extension Workers (AEWs) in a workshop entitled “๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐ธ๐ ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ (๐๐๐๐๐๐ฆ) ๐๐ฒ๐๐ธ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐” on August 1, 2024, at the DA-RFO1 5th Floor Conference Room.
Inviting seventy (70) Provincial Agribusiness Coordinators, representatives from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, FFEDIS Registration Desk Officers from DA satellite stations, and representatives from key cities and municipalities in Region 1, the training revolved around maximizing the implementation of FFEDIS among key agri-fishery players in the region, such as group enterprises, Farmer Cooperatives and Associations, and agri-fishery entrepreneurs.
FFEDIS is a web-based information system created under Republic Act No. 11321 also known as the Sagip Saka Act, which allows for the registration and availment of agri-fishery based assistance such as grants, loans, and easy access to other programs.
The training served as a double-purpose event wherein AEWs learned the uses and benefits of the FFEDIS system as well as building connections with other LGUs. This also sought to extend its reach and awareness in hopes of inviting other groups to register under the system.
