San Fernando City, La Union- Looking for a farmers’ market to buy fresh fruits, veggies, meat, and fish near you?


The KADIWA project of the Department of Agriculture Ilocos Region through its Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division opens additional outlets to provide La Union residents increased access to safe and affordable food products and marketing avenues for farmers and fisherfolk.


One of the locations established is at the Manna Residences, Pagdaraoan Biday Road, San Fernando City. Stalls in this area are open from 7:00AM to 12:00NN every Wednesday and Saturday.


Since its opening on August 26, a total of 16 farmers and fisherfolk associations were assisted supplying over 120 households.
A total sales of PHP 213, 584 was recorded for the 2,171.95 kilograms of food commodities delivered.


Another KADIWA outlet will be opened on September 23 and 26 at the Namnama Village, San Fernando City.


In Agoo, La Union., locals are advised to visit the KADIWA market, which will be launched at LUELCO, Agoo, La Union on September 29. This initiative is in partnership with the local government unit of Agoo and La Union Electric Cooperative Incorporated. //
