In the government sector, the delivery of quality public service depends on the kind of values instilled in its workforce. If quality seeds were sown, expect a fruitful harvest.

In the Department of Agriculture—Ilocos Region’s commitment to continual improvement, some 30 employees underwent a Values Orientation Workshop (VOW) on February 18-19, 2025, enriching participants’ knowledge on public service values and ethical standards based on Filipino culture.

VOW is a program by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) focused on five Filipino core values—the Pagka-tao, Pagka-kalikasan, Pagka-Filipino, Pagka-tagapaglingkod, and Paglalagom.

Resource persons for the two-day workshop were Mr. Jerwin B. Linsangan, Chief Human Resource Specialist, and Ms. Cherrie B. Bayuga, Supervising Human Resource Specialist of the CSC Regional Field Office 1.

This workshop is part of DA-RFO1’s strategy to help employees become better individuals with a mindset aimed at providing high-quality service to the public.
