The Local Government Unit of Santo Domingo in Ilocos Sur received a Php 2.5 million check for the purchase of a cargo vehicle to support the logistical needs of the municipality’s Farmersโ Cooperative and Associations (FCAs).
Approximately 3,800 farmers and 600 fisherfolk are expected to benefit from this grant, producing commodities such as rice, corn, peanuts, vegetables, boneless bangus, tilapia, and livestock.
Santo Domingo Mayor Hon. Bryan Dexter V. Tavena, Municipal Agriculture Office head Mr. Jose Randy T. Reburon, and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator head Mr. Russell S. Alcanciado received the check on August 16 at the DA-RFO 1 5th Floor Conference Room.
