Gender and Development (GAD) Office of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office One (DA-RFO1) convenes DA-GAD Implementers for Capacity Development: Gender and Development Analysis Training with Workshop at the BAC Conference Room of DA-RFO1 on July 12, 2024.
Guest speaker John F. Gagucas focused on orienting participants on gender, gender issues, gaps, and the difference between gender and sex, as well as the application of this knowledge to programs and interventions of the Department of Agriculture.
The training and workshop focused on integrating Gender and Development Analysis into current and future projects of the agency to ensure the advocacy of the government on gender equality. The workshop also included in-depth discussions on projects and strategies, carefully expounding as to how one project can be considered gender responsive or not at all.
The Department of Agriculture is dedicated to improving Gender and Development and further promises to add more trainings, proposals, and workshops for enhanced GAD efforts.
