Batac City, Ilocos Norte- As a continuing commitment to accelerate agricultural productivity in the countryside, the Department of Agriculture-Ilocos Region handed over today a total of P25,079,441.00 worth of various agricultural interventions to Farmer Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) in the second district of the province of Ilocos Norte held at the DA Ilocos Norte Research and Experiment Center (INREC)

Graced by no less than 2nd District Congressman, Hon. Angelo Marcos Barba, the various interventions handed out to the beneficiaries were composed of (1) hand tractor, (20) water pumps with complete accessories, (2,866 bags) corn seeds, (5,971 packs/bags) inorganic and foliar fertilizers, (245) plastic crates, (40) plastic drums and (67 heads) upgraded cattles.

These interventions were funded under the Rice, Corn, HVCDP, NUPAP and AMIA programs of DA.

Congressman Barba was joined by DA-RFO I Agricultural Programs Coordinating Officer (APCO) for Ilocos Norte and INREC Chief Mr. Medardo Pablo.
