True to its commitment of helping farmers have better irrigation facilities necessary to improve their rice productivity in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, the Department of Agriculture in Ilocos through Regional Technical Director Dennis Tactac led the inauguration of the rehabilitation and improvement of the Cabaruan Irrigation System Canal at Cabaruan, Bacarra, Ilocos Norte on July 7, 2023.

A P13 million worth of project committed by Senior USec Domingo Panganiban during the National Rice Technology Forum held in Bacarra, officers and members of the Zanjera de Sales together with Bacarra Mayor Nicomedez dela Cruz expressed gratitude to the DA with the expansion of their service areas intended for rice planting especially this coming wet cropping season.

Also present during the inauguration ceremony is DA’s Rice Consultant, Dr. Santiago R. Obien.
