Held on December 2, 2022 at the DA RFO 1 conference room, the Regional Gender and Development Committee in region 1 convened its members for a regular meeting for the last quarter of the year.

The activity was conducted to discuss the proposed culmination activity to END VAW campaign for 2022, the highlights of the levelling session, return demonstration and the results of the final deliberation of the R1GRP applicants.

Presided by Atty. Harold Kub-aron, director of the Commission on Human Rights and RGADC-1 Chairperson, the program was attended by members from PIA, PSU, CHR, Provincial Government of La Union, DA, DOH, PNP, POPCOM, NEDA, DMMMSU, MMSU, and DepEd.

The activity was highlighted by the conferment of eight Resource Pools for Gender and Development in Region 1 (R1GRPool) who will assist the Philippine Commission on Women in providing GAD-related technical assistance to requesting clients based on their area of expertise. The certified members are expected to carry out their roles and functions as R1GRPool.

One among the conferred GR pool is Dr. Jacinta Marissa D. Olalan, chief of the Administrative and Finance Division of DA-RFO 1.
