Sixteen employees of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 took their oath of office, Monday after winning the recently concluded Employees Association Elections.
DA Ilocos Regional Executive Director Nestor Domenden administered the oathtaking of the employees which will comprise the DA Employees’ Association (DAEA).
The new DAEA officers are as follows:
Mr. Juanito Malazo, Jr. (President)
Mr. Norman Patungan (Vice President)
Ms. Fema Casil-Pelayo (Secretary)
Ms. April Joy Abucay (Treasurer)
Mr. Arnold Ebreo (Auditor)
Mr. Michael Ignacio (Business Manager)
Ms. Leah Coloma (Public Relations Officer)
Mr. Erwin Aquino and Mr. Charlie Charles Belisario (Sergeant-at-Arms)
Meanwhile, the following are the members of the Board of Directors, namely Mr. Deo Rivera, Engr. Dennis Tactac, Mr. Joel Maconocido, Dr. Marvin Quilates, Ms. Cathy Pastor, Ms. Milagros Dela Rosa and Mr. King Bergonio.
Present also in the oathtaking ceremony are the division, section and station heads, and employees of the DA-RFO 1.
The DA Commission on Elections, headed by Atty. Dessa Estrada, proclaimed the winners on June 28, 2022, a day after the hybrid online and face-to-face elections by the employees.
Employees association plays a crucial role in advancing development-based programs for employees and strengthen collective bargaining to promote and protect the rights and interests of the employees.
The term of office of the DAEA officers will run for three years.###
