EARLIER: To seal the partnership between the Department of Agriculture RFO 1 and the Development Bank of the Philippines, Regional Executive Director Nestor D. Domenden along with Mr. John Kimberly Sarmiento, Acting Branch Head signed a memorandum of agreement at the DBP building, San Fernando City, La Union.
The collaboration was carried out to support the implementation of fertilizer distribution for CY 2021 under the National Rice Program thru the Fertilizer Discount Voucher scheme with an amount of P2,000 for inbred and P3,000 for hybrid.
A total allocation of P513,729,000 was allocated to DA RFO 1 to support rice farmers who have received high-quality inbred and hybrid seeds in procuring inorganic fertilizers from accredited merchants.
