Having shortlisted as finalists in the three categories for the Search for Outstanding CAFC Chairperson, Outstanding RAFC Executive Officer and Outstanding PAFC Secretariat-Coordinator, respectively, Ms. Florencia Mendoza, Ms. Doris Joy Garcia and Ms. Jenelle Idica faced the field validation conducted by the National Technical Committee from the Philippine Council for Agriculture & Fisheries starting today, Nov. 13, 2024 until November 15, 2024.

An activity to verify and validate the information provided by the finalists in their scrapbooks submitted to the Technical Search Committee, the validators conducted an interview with the finalists to determine the finalists’ leadership and management as well as individual performance in their respective duties and responsibilities in the AFC.

Ms. Doris Joy Garcia, Chief of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division is also the concurrent RAFC Executive Officer in Ilocos Region is one of the top 3 contenders out of the 15 RAFC Executive Officers in the country while Ms. Idica and Ms. Mendoza were chosen as top 3 out of the 1,600 and 104 AFC Secretariat Coordinators and AFC Chairpersons in the country.

As the top three contenders in the three categories, Ms. Garcia, Ms. Mendoza and Ms. Idica will be awarded during the conduct of National Agriculture and Fisheries Volunteers’ Day to be held in Cebu this coming December, 2024.
