Some 25 employees of the Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office 1 (DA-RFO1) took part in a training on gender analysis and the use of the Project Implementation, Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PIMME) checklist on Wednesday, July 29.
Resource person Ms. Mariz Dafnae H. Mendoza, a member of the National GAD Resource Pool, gave an overview of basic Gender and Development (GAD) concepts and discussed the relevance and role of gender mainstreaming to organizations.
She also explained how the PIMME checklist works as a scoring tool used to measure how well a project incorporates gender equality principles.
The training was organized by DA-RFO1’s GAD Unit as one of its strategies to bolster the agency’s commitment to gender equality, creating safe workplaces, and gender-sensitive policies, programs, projects, and activities.
