Public Advisory
Relative to Proclamation No. 1077, s 2025 declaring a State of National Calamity due to Typhoon “Tino” (Kalmaegi), the Department of Agriculture (DA) will implement a 60-day price freeze on all agricultural basic necessities and prime commodities nationwide. DA will monitor and disseminate price information in the designated official website and social media platforms.
The DA, in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), encourages local government units (LGUs) to monitor and ensure that prices of basic goods remain fair and reasonable. LGUs are likewise encouraged to activate their Local Price Coordinating Councils (LPCCs) to address reports of unreasonable price increases.
Consumers are enjoined to report retailers selling agricultural basic necessities and prime commodities above their prevailing prices as of November 7, 2025.
