Preparing for the Agribusiness Support for Promotion and Investment in Regional Exposition (ASPIRE) for this year, the DA-RFO 1 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division held a consultation meeting with the Department of Trade and industry and representatives from each province in the region on April 29, 2022.

The AMAD group presented a post-activity report on the ASPIRE trade fair that took place at Robinson’s Place in Calasiao, Pangasinan in 2021. Based on the report, around 30 farmer cooperatives and associations and SMEs exhibited their products. The income generated from the three-day event summed up to P908,423.00.

Meanwhile, the proposed date for this year’s ASPIRE activity will be on June 14-19, 2022 while the venue will be the same since it will be more conducive for farmers and processors to showcase their products given the vast number of consumers/customers in the province.

A follow-up meeting will be held on May 27, 2022 for the finalization of the details of the activity.

The ASPIRE is a collaborative project of DA, DTI and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry aimed at converging the key players in agriculture and fisher business and industry.##
