CADP

With the continuous efforts of the Regional Convergence Initiative - Sustainable Rural Development (RCI-SRD) 1 member agencies to deliver development services to its convergence areas in the region, barangay officials and farmer groups were consulted on the Convergence Area Development Plan (CADP) of the municipality of San Nicolas, Pangasinan for 2018 to 2022 on April 12.

The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 1 particularly the Regulatory Division headed by Division Chief - Dr. Florentino Adame, assisted the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and DA – Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) to spread awareness and responsibilities on the proper use of antibiotics on swine and poultry thru the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Project.

After receiving its ISO 9001:2015 Certification effective January 12,2019, the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office I Management Committee members and selected staff, thru the directive of Regional Executive Director Lucrecio R. Alviar, Jr., underwent Training on ISO 9001:2015 to better understand the requirements and implementation of the ISO Standard and continually improve the department's Quality Management System (QMS).

In the recently concluded 1st Quarter Assessment of the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (ACEF) Lending Program Implementation for Luzon Cluster 1 composed of Northern and Central Luzon regions held at Kabaleyan Cove Resort in San Carlos City, Pangasinan and hosted by Region I, reports by the Land Bank lending centers from Regions I, II, III, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) showed only 13% loan releases has been made since 2018 from the cluster’s P311.97 million allocation under ACEF Fund.

Providing the Suyo farmers with safe, fast and cheap means of transporting their agricultural products, the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office I led by Regional Technical Director for Operations, Erlinda Manipon turned-over to the municipal government of Suyo the P7.8 million worth of agri-tramline system yesterday at Brgy. Cabugao, Suyo, Ilocos Sur.
